What is the school image?

The school image (or just “image”) is the term we use to describe the operating system, software, settings and customisations we apply to each computer connected to the WHSC network.

The IT Department constantly review the image and make changes to it. These changes can be deployed through a number of ways, including Windows Updates and Software Centre.

Our image is built on the eduSTAR.SOE image created by the Department of Education and Training, and as such most (but not all!) software bundled with the image are available at other government schools.
