Recover lost files from K Drive

We back up K Drive multiple times per day and keep those backups for 30 days. Restoring a lost or corrupt file from our backups is easy, and you can do it yourself with only a few clicks.

Firstly, right click on your K Drive network drive, or on the folder you wish to recover from (e.g. K:\English). From the right click menu, select “Restore previous versions”.

Right click on the drive or folder you wish to restore files from, and select “Restore previous versions”From here you can select the date and time to restore from. There are two options: “Open” and “Restore”.

Browse to the most appropriate backup date and time.

Selecting “Restore” will restore the contents of that backup into the selected folder or drive. This may overwrite any files which have changed in the meantime.

Selecting “Open” will open the contents of the backup in a new File Explorer window, which gives you the opportunity to copy and paste some or all of the files back into your K Drive.
