To keep access between eduMail (EDU001) and WHSC (CURRIC) networks operating properly, staff in the Administration area have to update their WHSC password whenever their eduMail password comes up for renewal.

Read our document “Changing my eduMail password” for further advice.

Stale passwords

Due to the size of the Education Department network, it is normal for password changes to take up to an hour to fully propagate. In other words, for the first hour after changing your password you may still need to use your old one.

Change WHSC password

After updating your eduMail password simply head to https://passwordreset.whsc.vic.edu.au/ and enter your username, current password, and new password twice.

In the username field, prefix your username with "CURRIC\" - for example, CURRIC\abc1234
In the username field, prefix your username with “CURRIC\” – for example, CURRIC\abc1234. That’s a backslash (above/left of the Enter key) after “CURRIC” – not a vertical line!

Updating Credential Manager

After updating your WHSC password to match your new eduMail password, please update all entries in Credential Manager relating to whsc or curric.wheelers-hill-sc.wan.

Open up the Start menu and type in “credential manager” – up will come “Credential Manager” or “Manage Windows Credentials”.

Opening Credential Manager

From here, find any entries relating relating to whsc or curric and update those to match your new password.

Anything with "whsc" or "curric" is an entry that requires updating

In the “Edit Windows credential” screen, update the stored credential with your new password.

You must repeat this for all relevant credentials.
